I've been using Google Sketchup to model several things, like houses. But since my modeling skills improved I have made a Stargate :D, and also some other things like puddle jumpers and ancient control panels. As you see I'm a huge Stargate fan.
A gate room, with a control panel with the screen up, showing Atlantis.
A small Puddle Jumper bay, with two Jumpers on their way down to the gate.
Three racks with drones.
A quickly made Atlantis door.
A bedroom, the wierd thing above the bed is a Lantian window, although the backround is gray :P.
A puddle jumper flying out of a Pegasus galaxy gate, space backround also ^^.
Hope you like em:D There will be more soon.

You can attach a file to the post cant you via the attach button? But they way I do it is to host a picture on a website, you can use various photo hosts to do this, and they give you a link you need that starts and ends img in brackets to link to it you just paste that into your forum post.
For example [ img ]http://www.address/imagename.jpg[ /img] but without the spaces in the brackets :)
Edit your post and take a look what ive done to your post (Ive edited it) so that the links youve posted have the [img] tag both sides of it. Thats how you post pictures
Very good btw, esp like the space one at end, brings back fond memories of tiefighter and xwing games for some reason
Well, I must say that you're becoming rather good. Next time you come over to me, you might want to try Maya 6.5 =) A real pro tool =D At least it has a 300+ pages introduction manual and I didn't really understand how to use it... But according to what I've heard, Maya was used to create and animate the Cave Troll in the Lord of the Rings. ;)
in any case u want to go technical 3D, u can get ur hands on some of Autodesk software (ie: AutoCAD 2007 or 3D Studio Max) (high prices included)
there might be some free stuff too, but i got my own hands involved with unauthorized copying of 3D modelling workshop software (via my uncle, tho).. that's the way i got my AutoCAD 2k7 and 3D Studio Max 9..
tbh, i haven't been able to test any of those free 3D modelling software (the reason: i haven't been keeping an eye on freeware)..
Well in character modelling best choice might be 3D Studio Max, but only minus is quite high price on software (ware if u dare ).. That Google software is mostly good for anything, but the quality of ur modellings won't be so amazing (as u can see from SG pics above).. But, it's good for start, i think.. Especially if u haven't got into 3D modelling yet..
Maya can give amazing results, if you get to learn it, wich is quite hard. But once you learn to use it, you can create most things with it, and animate it to do things, But Unless you want something to spend hours and hours to learn, I don't really recommend it to begin with.
There is another free 3D software that is very good and can give very good results, called Blender. But it is very complicated and it takes about a year to get good at it. Check out blender3d.org
